A network of local sites

About the project

vajska.rs is part of a small network of local sites about villages and towns of Vojvodina. The first was rakovac.rs; vajska.rs and provala.rs come next.

Who is behind the site

  • Svetlana Morozova, editor and the face of the site. She lives in Vajska, has been a journalist since 1999 and writes books on the cuisine of southern Russia.
  • Konstantin (Kosta) Stein, co-founder: creator and initiator of the network, builds and develops the sites. He lives in Rakovac on Fruška Gora and made rakovac.rs.

One network, different sites

Each site of the network is about one place and speaks to its own readers. vajska.rs is the village’s site: for residents and for people who want to live in Vajska and explore the region from there. provala.rs is the lake’s site: holidays, swimming, fishing and nature. The sites share one look and one engine and link to each other wherever that helps the reader.

How we work

  • Facts are checked against sources, listed at the end of each page. Anything unconfirmed is marked as such.
  • Photos: until we take our own, the site shows illustrations and marked photo spaces. Photos by others appear only with permission and always with the author’s name.
  • Texts are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
