Lake Provala lies about a kilometre from the village, towards Bođani. It formed when the Danube broke through an embankment in a great flood; sources give 1924 or 1926. Its greatest depth is about 19 m, which is why it is called the deepest lake in Vojvodina (Vojvodina Travel).
In summer there is a sandy beach with parasols, changing cabins and showers, a campsite and a restaurant. There is no lifeguard; you swim at your own risk (Vojvodina Travel).
Everything about swimming, fishing, places to stay and the lake’s nature is on our sister site provala.rs.
